Had a great weekend at Grand Harbor. Can't wait to do it again.
It's a great place to stop if you're out on the water for the day & need anything from fuel to food.
The fantastic people at the marina, everyone from the manager to the night watchment took awsome care of me a few months ago. I was headed south on my sailboat and had a reservation and talked with the competing marina a couple miles away when I went through the dam. When I arrived at the other marina they had all left for the day and abandoned me! The people at Grand Harbor stayed after hours to help me secure my boat and make sure I was completely setup before the left. They have a customer for life anytime I am cruising through. First class operation that truly cares!
The service was the worst i have ever seen the dock attendants were rude and lazy and it was not even a holiday all they wanted to do was sit on the white storage bin and talk amongst themselves when i asked a question instead of helping me they said some one inside can help you the people inside was too busy talking to their freinds to get things right i was charged for thing i did not buy and had to get them to correct it
I rented a house from the marina for 5 days while attending a wedding in the area. The house was clean, but I did not feel I received good value for the price. There were six (6) lightbulbs burnt out in the house when we arrived and the facility only provided one each of basic amenities such as dishwashing tablets, garbage bags, soap, etc. Free Wifi was advertised, but did not work in the rental house. In many other areas of the country, I have rented vacation houses which were much, much nicer for the same price or less.
